Parish Pastoral Council

The St. Jerome Parish Pastoral Council is an advisory group that attempts to identify, reflect, and make recommendations for pastoral planning regarding issues relating to the unique spiritual needs of our parish community. The council thereby assists our pastor, Msgr. Norman Priebe, by seeking to provide wise and prudent advice based on a knowledgeable representation of the parish population. The Spirit of God moves within our parish community and we all strive to listen to its presence . . .

With heartfelt gratitude, the St. Jerome Parish Council would like to acknowledge and thank the outgoing (June 2012) Council members for sharing their time, talents and contributions over the past three years.

Thank you to Lola McAlpin-Grant (Council Chair), Nakyshia 'Kia' Lazarre (Council Co-chair) and Janet Sparrow. The council welcomes the following new members in the Fall, 2012: Karen Burgoyne, Ann Gilbert and Bob Quinn.

Also, congratulations to the new council officers: Michelle Gosom, chair; Mervin Hughes, co-chair; Jackie Purdy, secretary.

WHAT IS THE EVANGELIZATION COMMITTEE?

The Evangelization Committee is an outgrowth of the Parish Pastoral Council, the parish advisory group that attempts to identify, reflect, and make recommendations for pastoral planning regarding issues relating to the unique spiritual needs of our parish community. The Evangelization committee's stated goals are: "Rejuvenation, Reaching Out, Reclaiming." The overarching mission of the committee is "to have a Spirit-filled parish where everyone can find their place. Second, our Committee is about helping people identify their gifts and the opportunities that exist to share them."

The members of the Evangelization Committee, led by Terry Dicks, are: Alan Bernstein, Sr. Pauline Therese Daries, CSJ, Denise McLeod, Michael Thomas, Msgr. Norm Priebe, Father Samuel Okafor, Hortense Bradley, and Patrice Carrere.
