Scripture Study

St. Jerome Scripture Study will begin a study of the Gospel According to Matthew on Tuesday evening, February 1, from 7:30 to 9pm in the parish Religious Education Center. The study will run for 10 consecutive Tuesday evenings. Matthew's Gospel is the featured gospel at Sunday Mass this year. Join us to get better acquainted with Matthew's story of Jesus as teacher and why the Church gave priority to this gospel for many centuries. The Book of Revelation
Bible: New American Bible
This is just one of many good translations. It is a Catholic translation (i.e. w/imprimatur) and is the translation used at Mass in the dioceses of the United States. The New Revised Standard is another Catholic translation used at Mass in other English-speaking countries. The New Jerusalem Bible is also a recommended Catholic translation. See note on page 4 of the Study Guide.
