The JustSkills: Practices and Tools for Parish Social Ministry program was developed in response to requests by JustFaith graduates for help in developing skills for doing the work of effective social ministry within parishes.
The Peace and Justice Ministry was created in answer to the call of the sixth Pastoral Initiative of the Archdiocesan Synod that strongly urged parishes “to provide a social justice ministry to raise the consciousness of parishioners by educating and informing them on various issues of social justice.”
Justice-Walking or J-Walking is an unconventional, three to six-month journey into "engaged spirituality" with older teenagers, ages 16-18 years.
Periodically, St. Jerome offers conferences, workshops and events to raise its parishioners’ awareness on specific social issues. The last one took place on May 2005, 2008 and dealt with the Catholic perspective on immigration.
